Cook began her work with Vertx Partners as a Relationship Executive, a role in which she connected with innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs seeking to partner with the U.S. Air Force.
Vertx Partners is proud to announce and spotlight the recent promotion of Mary Cook to Vice President of Operations within the company.
Cook began her work with Vertx Partners as a Relationship Executive, a role in which she connected with innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs seeking to partner with the U.S. Air Force, helping them find avenues to transition their technologies to solve national security issues. With her recent promotion, much of Cook’s skillset is now codified more formally, but her responsibilities will expand in a way that will allow Vertx President Sean Frisbee to grow efforts into other regions of Appalachia.
“I have found my rhythm with this company,” Cook said when asked about her feelings on the promotion. “The work we’re doing is so fulfilling and is so important to West Virginia, Appalachia, and America.”
As Vertx collaborates with new partners, its customer relationship management strategy continues to be streamlined and refined. How Vertx identifies, stays in touch, and interacts with its cohorts – companies, technologies, and academic organizations – will be overseen by Cook going forward.
“Mary has done a wonderful job in helping us develop our processes, grow our programs, create new business opportunities, and expand our partner base,” said Sean Frisbee. “Her leadership has been vital to our success thus far and will be very important as we continue to mature our business.”
