Innovation ecosystems thrive where ideas inspire collaborative partners to share an R&D vision. We know that innovation can surge wherever idea-driven people live and where universities and their communities share a growth mindset. Combined with renewed national interest and federal funding to establish innovation hubs outside major metro areas, we are poised to see new ecosystems grow where industry, academia, nonprofits, and government combine forces and leverage each other’s assets to achieve outcomes not possible without cooperation.
Building on the work of the 2019 and 2022 workshops, UIDP Xurban 2024 will convene thought leaders from academic, corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors to consider practical and effective strategies to enhance the economic ecosphere.
